We already saw some great animals on the trip and I had absolutely no idea it could get better, but of course it did. I saw my unknown favorite animal on that game drive, and I know for a fact I will never forget that moment.
We were driving thru the wildebeest along with some other animals when I saw Land Rovers all crowded around one area. So we drove are car over. Of course at first I saw nothing but a tree. Then I really looked…
What I saw I can’t explain in words, but I could try. This animal moved liked nothing else. It was as graceful as a giraffe, as strong as a lion, as fierce as a leopard, but most of all The animal I saw was proud. Nothing in my whole trip to Africa was as proud as the cheetah. There were two cheetahs both walking like movie stars thru the sea of Land Rovers. Our guide soon told us they were brothers. There are three brothers the guide knew of; he told us that the two brothers we saw were calling to the third brother.
There was one time when the cheetahs came three feet in front of our Land Rover. Strange as it seems I was not scared one bit! Would you be scared if your two favorite movie stars walking right in front of you. That’s what the cheetahs felt like to me. We were even joking about what the cheetah’s body language as like!
Later that day we were driving back to the camp when we saw another cheetah! The way the animals parted when the cheetah walked thru was awesome! If I had to chose a animal to be It would be a cheetah. The guide told us that that cheetah was the brother of the other two cheetahs. He was calling to. We followed him around for a while. We watched him drink for a while and then we headed home.
Now in the tent reflecting on everything I saw I realize how much loved watching the cheetahs. Now I know I will never go to the African section in the zoo again.
